Bridal Bouquet Charm
My grandmother and I were extremely close and her passing was the hardest thing I have ever dealt with. I am doing a lot to honor her but I found this bracelet with a photo charm on it and I removed the charm, put a picture of her on her wedding day in it, and was going to attach it to my bouquet. My mom had the same idea and at my shower she gave me one too. So, I am going to use the one she game me and I am going to attach the one I bought to her corsage.

My MOH, my consultant, and I did a trial run over Thanksgiving. I needed to figure out how many flowers I am going to need and what exactly I want to do. I had two ideas: all roses or mixed. Here are the results...
I started with bouquets. I didn't buy too many flowers so I wanted to reuse them for multiple designs. The picture to the left is a bridal bouquet (36 Virginia roses). The stems would be bound, cut, and covered with ribbon for the real thing. I found that a good sizes BM bouquet would be somewhere in the range of 12-15 roses (not pictured).
I took the bridal bouquet (36 roses) and plopped them into a 24" fluted vase. I left the stems long just to see what it would look like as a centerpiece.
My floral consultant determined the arrangement above "needed something" and of course she was right. She suggested a little seeded eucalyptus and it made a world of difference. There is about 1/4 of a bunch of eucalyptus in the arrangement. I think we will be doing this or something like the arrangement below, mixed with some low arrangements with some smaller one scattered around the ballroom and hallway.
Next, I cut the stems of the arrangement short so that I could get a feel of what it would look like if I wanted to submerge pearls in the water or add a floralyte.
We then moved onto using multiple kinds of flowers and just played a round a bit. This arrangement has 1 jumbo green hydrangea, 1 small white hydrangea, 1/2 of a bunch of eucalyptus, 6 hypericom berry stems, 6 long stem roses and 3 spray rose stems ( 3-4 heads each). It is in a 16"x5"x5" vase. I do really like it but it needs a little pruning. Its a bit too wild.
We then did a mixed bridal bouquet. This used about 1/4 of a bunch of eucalyptus, 10 large roses, 2 small white hydrangea and 3 stems of spray roses.
Here are some shots of all of the flowers after I got them home. There are a few extra arrangements that I made later that day with left over flowers and supplies. Some of them are really pretty ugly!
And this is what they looked like a few days later.....
If I have used any of your photos and you wish to get the proper credit, let me know an I will make sure to give you it.
