All Things Paper
Invitations
Our invitations were nothing if not a labor of love. They involved countless mistakes, way more $ than expected and several all-nighters to complete. What they tough me is that sometimes I may just be better to shell out the oodles of cash to have someone else do it, I really am OCD, and I have the BEST FI in the world!
Case in point...
The Mailing
So, on Saturday @ 11:30 we go to the post office to get stamps. Turns out they only have 5 sheets and a few single stamps. We need 9 sheets. So, my FI runs to the car and speeds to the next nearest post office while I finish paying for the 5 sheets. I get outside and its 11:56. My FI calls and say we need 3 more stamps so I race back into the post office only to almost have the door shut in my face. I manage to talk my way in with the help of another woman and get the stamps.
Fast forward to Sunday night. We go to the post office to mail them (using the 24 hour drop box) only to find it locked. We spent the next 2 hours driving around filling 6 big blue mail boxes with our invitations!

We used full sheet labels to close the boxes. The back has our return address and a lyric from some out our favorite songs. The invitations were designed using Adobe Photoshop CS. The paper was purchased from Anchor Paper and will be printed on a Canon MP620 series ink jet printer.
Pocketfolds
So, I did just like everyone else and ordered paper form Tom at Anchor Paper, then made my own pocketfolds. They turned out really nice! I played around and made my own template and just traced it on to the card stock I had pre-cut. I used Peel n Stick double sided tape and it worked great! I did keep them all under a 10lb weight for 48 hours just to get the folds really crisp and to make sure the tape held.
Save the Date Postcards
Made using VistaPrint and Adobe Photoshop CS
Photo Shareing Cards
Made using VistaPrint and Adobe Photoshop CS. These will be at every table in business card holders and I am also including them in our thank you cards.
Menu/History Cards
We are doing menu cards and also including a little about the history of the wedding cake on the back side. We are still ironing out the details but you get the idea.
Program
Reserved Seat Signs
We will use these at the ceremony. I would have liked to do the ones that tied around the chairs but ours will be covered so these will just be pined on.
Table Names
Each of our tables is named after a street located in the city where we attended college. We will have an easel with the table assignments by the ballroom door and place cards at eat persons seat.

Taxi Cab Cards
I used VistaPrint business cards once again. I plan to scatter these around the reception. Actually, I put one in my purse when I went home for my bridal showers and it proved exceedingly helpful!
Favors
My grandmother was a very large part of my life until she passed away and still remains a huge influence. I wanted to find a way to honor her that she would have approved of. She would roll over in her grave if I erected a memory candle shrine to her. That's not me and it wasn't her. I wanted to quietly honer her. She was a very avid baker and would give our entire family cookies at christmas. She became kind of famous for it so I decided that our favors would be one of her recipes. They will be packaged with 1 of 3 cookie cutters and one of the cookies the recipe makes. The back of the recipe card says "Thank you".
Passport Covers
I saw something like these on a website for $30. I was like "HELL NO! I'm going to make them!" and I did (for way less than $30 too).
Thank You Seed Packets
For the last few month I have been harvesting flower seeds from my garden. We are going to put them in the packets and then include them in our thank you cards!
CD Lables
Since we are doing a lot of our own music I decided all of the CDs we made have to be beautiful!
Card Box Sign
Wishes and Advise
Cake to Go and Water Bottles
I really want to do water bottles but the hotel did not like that idea so I am incorporating them in to another favor. Our cake is HUGE so we are going to have a LOT left over. I am having the extra cut and packaged into take home boxes and will have a table right out side the doors ad every one leaves. I am hoping it will look a lot like the drawing above.
Guest Book Sign
I couldn't decide on a guest book or a wish/advise jar so we are doing both!
Guestbook
I made the guest book this weekend using dupioni silk that matches my dress. I haven't ordered paper yet so there are no pages in it. I'm not happy with the bow but I have to take it out anyway after the paper gets here so I can put each page into the book. Update: I found one I LOVED at Hobby Lobby for 50% off so I caved and bought it. This one is going up for sale.
If I have used any of your photos and you wish to get the proper credit, let me know an I will make sure to give you it.
